After delivery
If the temperature goes down below freezing during transport or if you are not able to plant immediately upon delivery, maintenance of the plants depends whether you plant them within the week, within 8 to 12 days or within several weeks, or one or two months.
However, slight nightly frosts should not prevent you from planting if the temperature warms up during the day.
How to heel in bare rooted plants
Untie the plants Lay them down in a trench protected from the sun Cover them almost completely with soil Water abundantly
Frost
It is better to leave the unopened parcel for 48 hours in an unheated place (+4 to +10°C) so that it thaws very slowly.
Damaged parcel or late delivery
Notify the carrier, confirm by registered letter within 3 days and inform us.
However, be aware that the plants can travel for a few weeks without any damage. If the bark of some plants shows signs of dryness or wrinkles, lay them down in a trench under 20 cm of well drained soil; after a period of about 10 days, they will recover their normal aspect and you will be able to plant them.
